There we analysed the historical background and the rise of comprador native leadership under colonialism and new forms of neo-colonialism that include promoting terrorism and INGO activities in our country which promote politico-economic influence and cultural invasion. By that time we had elected a true patriotic leader and he has already liberated whole Eastern province from the clutches of LTTE terrorism. It was a time of hope and desperation. Lanka Rising concluded the post saying;
In 1948, people played rather passive role in winning the independence, but now we can rectify the past mistake by actively involve in defeating the plots of post colonial local/foreign agents and build a new Sri Lanka based on our traditional values and strengths!One year later, on 6th February 2009 we published another post “people’s independence of 2009 and beyond”. By that time we were in sight of winning the fight against terrorism and people already sensing the real independence. Lanka Rising cautiously stated that;
After all these celebrations, we should never relax. We have few moments to tighten the last nail of ‘Fascist Tiger Terrorism’. We are yet to target and eliminate the enemy terrorist leader. All local and international evil forces will continue to pressurise us to rescue terrorist leader so that to keep the cancer remain in our emerald land for some more time so that they can continue their vicious politico-economic agenda in war crippled island. The local comprador political dynasties and their business partners will intensify their vicious campaigns to win back their lost ‘independence’ over the freedom of common people of this country.On 18 th May, three month after last year’s (so called) independence day, the victory against terrorism was sealed.
Our grand fathers have told us that they did not feel much of a difference when British colonial masters left the country after completion of transfer of political power in to the hands of their hand picked local comprador agents. But on May 18th 2009, the whole nation felt the true meaning of ‘Independence’. It was the real freedom from fear and terror. Its not only defeating LTTE separatist terrorism, but total defeat of colonial influence of the west and their local comprador political agents and proxy INGO’s.
On 18 th May 2009, we won our independence on military ground in local battlefield and political ground in western international politics. On 26 th January 2010, the people of our country confirmed our new independence on local political battlefield by defeating alliance of political parties that supported terrorism (West/INGO/UNP/TNA/JVP/SLMC).
If February 4 th is the symbolic day of independence of Sri Lankan nation, today we are celebrating our very first real independence day. We lost our independence on 1815 by signing the Kandy accord (Udarata Givisuma) and became a colony of British. On 1948 British colonial masters transferred the political power to the local comprador leaders and named it ‘Independence of Ceylon’. Since that day our local comprador leaders has celebrate their independence on Torrington square or Gall Face green in Colombo on Feb 4 th of each year.
This year we are going back to Kandy to ceremonial declaration of winning back of people’s independence from the clutches of local comprador agents and their western masters.
Now we have the challenge of preserving the hard won real independence and make this more meaningful by gaining economic and cultural independence to the Sri Lankan nation.
