The theme of Sarath Fonseka’s election campaign is nothing but ‘lying’. A liar can commit any crime or sin because he will shamelessly try to hide those by lying. Therefore liars are very dangerous creatures for the society and country. On the other hand liars are gold for the evil forces because these shameless creatures can be easily manipulated and danced to their tune.
The USA green card saga
The Fonseka’s political drama started with USA green card interview. However it was later reported that Fonseka has lied the government and keep US immigrant officers’ intervention till the last minute.
Exposing the confidential resignation letter to the media
After all the buzz in USA, Fonseka submitted his resignation letter to the government. Though Fonseka’s letter itself carried the seal of ‘confidential’, the content of his letter was published on JVP proxy ‘LankaTruth’ web site even before it reached the presidential office. It was later revealed that JVP and UNP top rungs were involved in drafting Sarath Fonseka’s so called ‘confidential’ resignation letter. The Sunday Times news paper later revealed that Sarath Fonseka has even fooled his allied political leaders by further changing the agreed letter before sending to president without informing them.
Proving a point to his masters
Thus Sarath Fonseka proved a necessary point to the Western evil forces. By that time Fonseka has won the confidence of them to be christened as their choice for the presidential race!
Promise of abolition of executive presidency
There was inertia in uniting extreme capitalist UNP and extreme Marxist JVP supporters in the campaign. The promise of “abolition of executive presidency” made them a temporary ground to unite their ardent supporters together. Once that purpose was fulfilled and JVP and UNP supporters started working together, the Fonseka’s real intention of retaining Presidential powers was disclosed. On the Morning he promises abolition of presidency and in the evening he will tell vise versa. Only a shameless crook can mutter that type of contradicting statements in such a rapid frequency.
The great betrayal of white flag Saga
Sarath Fonseka’s mask of false patriotism was clearly exposed when Sunday Leader reported his statement betraying security forces and Defence Sectary. However within few hours of publishing of the story, his statement became a boomerang for him. The whole nation was stunned by the great betrayal of the armed forces. The very next day Fonseka summoned a media briefing and denied Sunday Leader report. However Sunday Leader editor Fedrica Janze herself confirmed the authenticity of the report. Though Fonseka once officially denied Sunday Leader report, he continues to make statements affirming the original betrayal.
Reveal of Hicop fraud
Until Hicop arms fraud was revealed, the theme of Fonseka’s campaign was ‘fight against corruption’. The symbol of swan had been attributed to purity of character of Fonseka. The bubble burst when factual evidences surfaced to the public. It is now clearly revealed that not only Fonseka has misused his powers by involving arms trading with his own family company, forged documents have been prepared in both Sri Lanka and USA. Two court cases against Fonseka’s family company have been filed in USA and Sri Lanka on forging.
The Fonseka-TNA episode – The political betrayal of military victory
Fonseka entered into presidential race claiming sole ownership of the victory against LTTE terrorism. However now he has completely lost confidence in real patriotic people of the country. Fonseka himself now clearly knows that only pseudo patriots that emerged after defeating LTTE terrorism is supporting him. Therefore he has now turned in to grabbing votes of LTTE sympathizers.
Being a person of irresponsibility and shameless, he has no issue agreeing to all the conditions put forward by LTTE’s political proxy TNA. He thought that he can bag votes of LTTE sympathizers without making big buzz in the south.
However Mr. Thurairajasingam, MP of TNA disclosed all the agreed conditions of TNA and Fonseka. The report was later confirmed by TNA leader Samphanthan. Now Fonseka is back in hot water for betraying military victory for petty political gains. Fonseka is shameless of lying as ever before. He is quick to deny the TNA-Fonseka pact. Now he is threatening news papers for revealing the agreements.
Newspapers published interviews of TNA MP’s and they have never denied those reports. On the other hand some of those interviews are on electronic media and therefore no one can deny the words of mouth. If Fonseka is genuinely worried and intended in clearing his name, he should have sued TNA leader Sampanthan or MP Thurairajasingam and not the news papers that report it. Therefore it is clear that Fonseka’s threatening on suing news papers is mere acts of buying time to confuse common people until election is over.
The bags of promises
A shameless creature that is not afraid of lying can put forward bags of promises because he is not even thinking of ways of fulfilling those. He thinks that people are still fools. Chandrika’s promises once and forever fooled the whole nation. She is backed in London in the back yard of her western masters. However this time, the people will take the revenge from the same evil forces of the West and their INGO local puppies by defeating current candidate of them in the greatest possible margin!
