All the true patriotic forces are in firm stand that it is Mahainda Rajapaksa government’s political mission that ended the decades old war and bring peace to our emerald island. The whole nation endorsed it time and again during last provincial council elections.
Stand up with the traitors
However UNP and JVP that plot to undermine government’s mission during the war finally managed to grab a single opportunist to confuse the nation. It was none other than retired General Sarath Fonseka. These bankrupt political agents made a big buzz saying that the real hero that lead the war is Fonseka and they will support him to defeat political leadership of the country.
Now Fonseka himself has disclosed in an exclusive interview with “Sunday Leader” newspaper that Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa instructed a key ground commander in the north that all LTTE leaders must be killed and not allowed to surrender. With this statement, Fonseka himself has accepted that the real military and stretegical leadership was provided by Gotabaya Rajapaksa who directly ordered the ground commanders.
The fate of terrorist leader Piripaharan
Before launching the final offensive to rescue innocent Tamil civilians, the government declared amnesty period to Piripaharan and his gang to give into the military forces. However the arrogant terrorist leader Piripaharan believed that his Western friends would be able to pressurize the political leadership at anytime and rescue in respectable manner. Therefore he never showed any sign of give in to the military forces. When it comes to the final battle in Nandikadal lagoon it was a point of no return and Mahinda Rajapaksa is too good to be contend by pressure politics.
The amnesty period was already expired and thousands of Tamil militants and Sri Lankan soldiers have lost their precious lives. What was the price of the life of fascist terrorist leader Piripaharan at the eleventh hour? The devastation was already done and worthless life found its due destination.
The Ealam myth too was buried with the killing of terrorist leader. If that was not the case, are we going to experience the same freedom that we enjoy today? We all Sri Lankans had already paid the price of releasing JVP fascist leader Rohana Wijeweera by then UNP government. Only those political idiots without any political wisdom will shed crocodile tears for Piripaharan’s death!
The false hero
It is well known fact that Sarath Fonseka was not even in the country when Mahinda Rajapaksa declared war against LTTE terrorist as well as when Government troops sealed victory by killing Piripaharan and his second level leadership including Pottu Amman. Still he wanted to take all the credit of the War. The ailing UNP and JVP exploited this petty character to get away with nominating their candidate in the up coming presidential election.
They tried their best to sell this character to the nation as a true patriot and war hero. Now their bogus patriotic bubble has burst. It’s the same UNP government under Ranil Wickramasinghe that betrayed intelligent wing of Sri Lanka army in infamous “Millenium Betrayal”. The same shameless traitors are now using Sarth Fonseka in post war period. Ranil and his gang has no love for the country, they only greed for power so that they can loot national resources for the benefit of comprador business mafia.
USA green card saga
Sarth Fonseka’s true character was first exposed when media reports that he will be interviewed by US officers regarding War Crime charges. It took unusual long time to inform this to the Sri Lankan government casting doubts on his hidden agenda.
The reveal of confidential resignation letter
Weeks after USA green card buzz, he officially submitted his resignation letter to the government. Howevwer this traitor had already exposed another copy of the same letter that itself claimed to be “Confidential” to his allied media. Later it was further revealed that Fonseka had played double game by altering the resignation letter that his close political partners drafted together.
The great betrayal
This time he has betrayed entire army by telling to the media that Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and General Shavindra Silva collectively responsible for killing of terrorist leader Piripaharan and his close associates.
The colonial Western countries love this type of double agents. Being the local agent of the colonial masters, UNP will fuel this so that they can try to jepordise the government using this statement with the help of their colonial masters. Shameless and bankrupt JVP will behave like dumb as usual.
This man is real liar. He is a person who has lost credibility time and again. The man who exposes his confidential resignation letter to the media can no longer be a credible witness. It only shows the inferior mentality of this man. How can a man who betrays his own officers lead the nation?

sarath fonseka's claim is totally irresponsible and does make him totally unfit to be president .
that so, even if what he claims to have happened is true, but it is not even true.
Although the Government media started calling Sarath fonseka a traitor right from the moment his possible candidacy was suspected, the discerning public probably just put it down to cheap politicking. But this ultimate betrayal by him has all the trappings of a TRAITOR writ large. Shame on him!
Indeed, those clams are totally irresponsible and harm even his agenda too.
All right! what did fonseka wanted the defence secretary to do ......felicitate the terrorists?
if he is such a traitor, why does he run for office?
he can make millions in the united states. being a green card holder he can settle down there. he will immediately receive offers to work in think tanks dedicated to counter-terrorism as he is the only living military commander to defeat an insurgent guerilla army. the man is doing it out of conscience. i personally feel that these comments are designed by the politicians in order to deflect possible international recrimination if he is elected. after all, gotabhaya is already under investigation in the united states.
while what he said may be wrong and show his naivete, what about the threats leveled at the likes of Sanath Jayasuriya? for him to appear in election ads if he wanted to play cricket ever again? is that the kind of administration we want?
Now we see the real colour of an Anandian. Lanka Rising was earlier full of praise for Ananda saying that it was all Anandians who made the war win possible, over exaggerating and belittling all others though this was a collective effort.
Lanka Rising also took every opportunity to bash schools like Royal. Now go and eat your own words, why not post an item about the real traitor and also highlight his former school Ananda, as done before.
Maha Rajano's Presidency, Mihin Air, Tsunami Fund, Hambanthota Projects, Katharagama Devale Nilame's Appointment, 10% commission, White Vans, killings and disappearance of innocent people (an abridged version of MR's work!); STINKS stronger than a sewer. We must oust MR & Company first and foremost, and discuss these matters later. (1st, give them the boot and send them into space or hell.)
This Presidential election is contested not just between President Rajapakse and Sarath Fonseka - but also between the PATRIOTS and PIRATES! Unfortunately, the Pirate ship is already half sunk not because there's no captain, but because there are too many "captains" who are trying to steer it in every direction!
many of us fail to see the larger picture of the fate looming over our beloved motherland. having failed in their 30 years of armed terror campaign to divide Sri lanka , anti Sri Lankan forces have joined hands to strangle the national leadership that led to the historic victory. General sarath fonseka has become the blue-eyed boy of these elements. The LTTE lobby has surrounded him with the help of their ever loyal Ranil, mangala, Hakeem and mano Ganeshan. So it comes as no surprise that the TNA joined them.
What Pirapaharan could not win in his 30 year killing-spree, is going to be won with hands down. Sri Lankan people must realize the truth before it is too late.
