UNP and JVP, the uncanny traitors of the nation
When the fight against terrorism was won by the Mahinda Rajapaksa government, majority of the people and the political parties were right behind it. However UNP and JVP did not support it from the beginning.

UNP blindly followed the agenda of the West and INGO local agents who were in turn supporting LTTE separatist terrorism. Although JVP did not openly criticized the military operations, they did their best to undermine the government which was successfully sphere heading the “fight against terrorism”. However, these two anti national elements have not had enough support of the people to hold back ‘fight against terrorism’ in the elections.

Their unity and activity was best evident during crucial parliament votes, especially during the last two budgets. However UNP-JVP political front was miserably failed in the light of strong will power of the military forces and conformity of the nation towards Rajapaksa government. When the fight against terrorism is won on last May, its not only LTTE, but both UNP and JVP had been thrown into the dustbin of the history.

The role of SLMC
Immediately after Ranil signed the infamous accord with LTTE terrorist leader Piripaharan betraying the aspiration of the nation, Rauf Hakeem followed him and signed a separate treaty with terrorist leader. Both Ranil’s UNP and Hakeem's SLMC is now supporting retired general Sarath Fonseka.

Defeat of the West
When LTTE supreme Piripaharan shed his last blood in the lagoon of Nandikadal, he was still optimistic that his Western super friends will salivate him even at the last moment. We all know that Hillary- Kouchner-Miliband company of the West did their best to try and rescue him. But political temperament of Mahinda Rajapaksa was too much for them. The West had invested billions of Dollars expecting return under separated Ealam land. But they miserably failed!!

The last try
West knows that Sri Lankan nation is now preparing for the BIG leap forward in economy under the basis of defeating terrorism. That is why America played good part of the drama in Christianise Sarath Fonseka as the common candidate of the opposition. It is now revealed that alleged “war crime” inquiry was staged in collaboration with relevant parties. 

Those who were with the enemy at time in need
When Rajapaksa government involved in the fight against terrorism, some of the parties were supporting it while others were directly or indirectly supporting LTTE terrorists. There is a saying that “Friend in need is the friend in deed”. It is UPFA’s constituent parties together with JHU, JNP, EPDP, TMVP and CWC that were supporting government’s military operation from the beginning. All those parties that supported the military forces to defeat terrorism are still with the government and supporting Mahinda Rajapaksa. On the other hand UNP, SLMC, JVP, WPF and good part of TNA that were against government in fight against terrorism are still united in the opposition front that retired general Sarath Fonseka represents. The people like Ranil, Ravi, Mangala, and Kiriella who harshly and viciously criticized and humiliated military forces are now main speakers for Sarath Fonseka.

It is now revealed that the party ‘United National Alliance’ under the symbol of Swan is also registered under Ravi Karunanayaka who openly humiliated military victories during that time.

The Patriotic forces still united under “Mahinda Chinthanaya”
While only a single character is playing the role of the traitor, the entire patriotic camp that were firmly behind the president in the time in need are still supporting him. This clearly shows the value of a leader to get the support of genuine people of the country. Unlike political opportunists, true patriotic parties and leaders will never let down the leaders who rescued this country from the clutches of the separatist terrorism.

It seems that the ailing West and the bankrupt local politicos think that the people of this country can be easily fooled by creating political confusion in the society by grabbing ONE character that played a role in militarily winning the fight against terrorism. But they are WRONG. The true patriotic people of this country know that it is more important to secure the political victory of LTTE separatism by supporting the political leadership that defeat LTTE separatist military body. People of this country no longer vote for individual characters but read them in their political background and serve them accordingly in the elections.
