This resignation letter is highly important and confidential document. It’s a letter sent by Chief of Defense Staff to the His Excellency president of he country. The Annex A of the letter itself has tagged to be confidential. Then which party leaked this (so self claimed) confidential document? And what is the intention of publishing it?
Obviously, we all know that politically bankrupt JVP is a key player in pushing General Sarath Fonseka into Politics. So unfortunately, General Sarath Fonseka (and his new political ally) has articulated a political document as an annex to his letter of resignation and simultaneously published in their web sites.
A new conspiracy theory has been introduced to justify General’s political resignation to the nation. It is clear that while point 1 to 13 of the Annex A of the letter tries to build this new ‘conspiracy theory’, the last three points (14 to 16) of the document are clearly political notes which has no bearing on a letter from Chief of Defense Staff to the His Excellency president.
14.The plight of the IDPs is also a point of great concern to me. Thousands of valiant soldiers sacrificed their valuable lives to liberate these unfortunate civilians from the brutality and tyranny of the LTTE in order that they could live in an environment of freedom and democracy. Yet, today many of them are continuing to live in appalling conditions due to the lack of proper planning on the part of the government and the IDPs who have friends and relatives elsewhere in the country must be given the choice to live with them until proper demining has been done in their areas.
15.Your Excellency’s government has yet to win the peace in spite of the fact that the Army under my leadership won the war. There is no clear policy to win the hearts and minds of the Tamil people, which will surely ruin the victory, attained paving the way for yet another uprising in the future.
16. The peace dividend the whole country expected at the conclusion of the war has yet to materialize. The economic hardships faced by the people have increased while waste and corruption have reached endemic proportions; media freedom and other democratic rights continue to be curtailed. The many sacrifices the army made to end the war would not have been in vain, if we can usher in a new era of peace and prosperity to our motherland.Probably these political points may have been later added after the discussion with one time (While our military forces fighting with LTTE terrorists) strong LTTE supporter Mano Ganeshan. Few days ago Mano Ganeshan revealed that he has clarified and resolved his concerns with General Sarath Fonseka.
General Sarath Fonseka having reputed military career has ended his illustrious career on black mark trapped into the plots of pseudo-patriot bankrupt politicians.

What is your stand on former LTTE members who fought our military and killed us sri lankans been in the same government that finished LTTE off? Funny how you never managed to grasp that mismatch but was quick to jump on the mismatch of Ganeshan, marxists and UNP supporting Fonseka. It is 'cute' how you unsuccessful attempt to hide your dislike of anyone challenging Mahinda.
Certainly Sarathh Fonseka is crrently not an evil as Ranil, Mangala, Ravi, Hakeem or CBK. But he is going to have the comany of these traitors who can ruin anyone's reputation for their petty selfish power hunger!!!!
