Interestingly, all the social 'manias' start from Sirasa and then spread to other channels. (afterwords, they switch to the gentleman mode)
1. The FM Mania - Sirasa started the FM mania and now there are i think around 60 FM channels. All what they do is spread the Singlish culture destroying the Sinhala language. (even though they cant speak english properly). Other than that, they spread the idotic culture and music that ruins the taste of the whole society. Now of course Sirasa is playing the gentlement role. But it was them who started it.
2. The Kusa-latha (Badawal) teledramas - Sirasa is the one who started these tele-dramas. The indian tele-dramas are full of hatred, jealousy and any other negative emotion that is present in human beings.
3. The Super Star (and dancing star) mania - Now the other channels even take kids for a ride. In the dancing star program Sirasa made a concious effort to promote the most sexual dances as much as possible, making it a norm in the Sri Lankan society.
All evidence points to Sirasa conciously acting to destroy the Sinhala Buddhist culture, which is the predominant culture in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, so far they have been very successful (and if the public does not become aware of this, they will be even more successful in the future)

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by Sinhala/Buddhist culture? Also please cite your sources when you state that sexuality, dancing, etc are explicitly excluded from Sinhala/Buddhist culture. Your attention to detail will be much appreciated.

It's all relative. For example I could quote Buddha as anti-war and claim you are been anti sinhala buddhist when you glorify war.

It's an undeniable fact that it was Sirasa that set in motion the ruination of the all values of SL's electronic media. SL’s electronic media had been maintaining a set of lofty values exemplarily to the society until Sirasa's birth. Undoubtedly, Sirasa goes into the history as the pioneer of destruction of values of SL media starting with incorrect usage of language to the introduction of rotten and cheap Indian Tele -dramas. The damage caused has been beyond recovery and irreversible. The rot started by Sirasa has been catastrophic and it’s cancerous effect visible in all the Sinhala electronic media in SL now.
One of the forerunners of this destruction Nimal Laxapthaiarchchi once accepted, after joining as a director in Rupavahini during the Ranil Wickramasinha’s government time, that it was Sirasa that introduced a disastrous effect to SL electronic media. He went into say that he was now regretting that he was also a part of that crime.
As you correctly noted the Super star and dancing star mania has been doing irreparable damage to the youth in SL. It’s doubtful whether even a similar degree of resolve that the present government possessed to defeat terrorism would be enough to get rid of the sins of this media culture implanted by Sirasa.
Why do some people become so Because they love this diarhea. Some of our guys (specially gals) are so dearly attached to this diarhea culture. Sinhalaya was born to be fooled.
